Tila

Your time. Your privacy.

Privacy policy · Effective 3 October 2026

This policy covers the Tila Apple apps and this support website. Contact the developer at ceo@moone.dev with privacy questions.

Information inside Tila

Tila stores timer settings, current sessions, language and theme preferences, and focus and workout progress on your device. Progress records include a device-specific identifier that helps combine progress without counting it twice. Tila does not require an app account.

The app does not send this information to a developer-operated backend. It has no advertising, third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. The developer does not receive your timer history through the app.

iCloud progress

On iPhone and iPad, progress synchronization uses Apple's iCloud key-value storage under your Apple account. It is enabled by default and can be turned off in Tila Settings. Turning it off stops future progress synchronization; it does not delete information already stored in iCloud. Apple operates iCloud under its own privacy policy.

Watch, widgets and Live Activities

Paired devices exchange timer state through Apple's WatchConnectivity service. A session started on iPhone remains owned by the phone. Standalone Watch settings and statistics stay on the Watch. Widgets and Live Activities receive timer and progress information through Apple platform facilities. Timer information may appear on your Lock Screen according to your device settings.

Notifications and backup files

Tila asks for permission to show local timer notifications. You can decline and continue using the app, or change permission in system Settings. Import and export use files you choose through the system file picker. Exported files may contain your progress history; you decide where to save or share them.

Retention and deletion

Local app data remains on a device until removed. To remove an iPhone or iPad's local Tila data, use Delete App in system Settings; Offload App retains its documents and data. Remove the standalone Watch app separately to remove its local app data. Delete exported backup files from the locations where you saved them.

Apple-managed backups and existing iCloud copies are separate. Tila currently has no single control that erases every iCloud or backup copy. Switching synchronization off or removing one device's app does not erase all copies, and synchronized progress may return when the app is installed again with iCloud enabled. To stop future synchronization, turn it off on each relevant iPhone and iPad. Use the storage and backup controls available for your Apple account to manage Apple-held copies, or contact Apple for help with those controls. The developer cannot access or delete your private iCloud progress through a Tila backend.
